Report from Mississippi

21 men and women from our Grady County Baptist Association went to Pascagoula, MS this past week. We had the privilege of partnering with Eastlawn Baptist Church, helping them renovate their fellowship hall that was flooded during Hurricane Katrina. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and ministry. I was especially blessed by the spirit of cooperation and compassion that I sensed among the church groups from at least seven different states. Our SBC Disaster Relief Ministry is doing an awesome job of coordinating this relief effort. I have a deep, new-found appreciation for these people. They truly have a servant’s heart. Here are some pictures that I took while out there. I am not a professional photographer so the quality may be lacking somewhat, but you will “get the picture”.

These pictures are of our group working. Bro. Ed Marshall (that’s him in the top photo) from my church (Pine Park Baptist Church) went with me. Thanks Bro. Ed!
